PTFE expansion joints are used in applications with high corrosive media and environments. PTFE expansion joints are able to absorb movements in all directions. They are quite flexible which allows decent absorption of vibrations. The PTFE cuffs are flaired against the flanges. This prevents the flanges to get in touch with the medium.
We supply our PTFE expansion joints in 3 different variants: T2 (2 convulations), T3 (3 convulations) & T5 (5 convulations).
■ Good temperature resistance
■ Excellent chemical resistance
■ Short built-in lengths

PTFE expansion joints are usually manufactured in virgin PTFE (white). It is also possible to deliver black, antistatic bellows. The standard flanges are manufactured in stainless steel. Possible grades are AISI321 and AISI316L. Carbon steel flanges on request.
This type of expansion joint is applied in specific systems which require a limitation of the movements to just single plane lateral movements.
Assemblies are possible with flanges according to European standard (EN 1092-1) and flanges according to ANSI standard (ASME B16.5).
